Student-Athlete Safarik Signs Contract With Arizona Sting
The Arizona Sting of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) have
signed number one draft pick and former Wingate University
All-American Bryan Safarik to a contract, Sting General Manager
and head coach Bob Hamley announced Thursday.

Lacrosse Student-Athlete Safarik Drafted Into NLL
The Arizona Sting selected five players in the 2007 National
Lacrosse League (NLL) Entry Draft Saturday at the Pepsi Center in
Denver. With the team’s first pick, Sting General Manager and
Head Coach Bob Hamley took Bryan Safarik (42nd overall, third
round), a 2007 USILA NCAA Division II All-American second team
selection at Wingate University.

Mars Hill sophomore attack and 2007 Deep South Conference Player
of the Year David Hodgins led the nation in assists and Wingate
University junior midfielder and face-off man Bob Chinn led the
NCAA Division II in ground balls per game in the 2007 season.
